What is Conex?

Conex stands for Conceptual Exploration and is a young research organisation, started in April 2020. The goal is to produce mission proposals for different space related topics.

Who we are

We’re an international team of students and academics from several different institutions across many continents.
Our members are specialised in a diverse range of subjects, from aerospace engineering, to astrophysics, and industrial design. This gives us a unique ability to produce comprehensive proposals considering all aspects of a mission, from the spacecraft to science goals.

Planet 9 is an object assumed to be around 20 times further away from the sun than Neptune, meaning it will not reflect very much light making it hard to find. It has also been suggested that Planet 9 could even be a black hole!

Our goal is to write a mission proposal and create a CAD model of the spacecraft. Besides understanding how current deep space missions work and which power supplies are used, we will also focus on the scientific requirements and payload to be used on this spacecraft.
